In this update, there is a long list of fixes that make grids smoother, records easier to edit, and files nicer to look at.
Most of these came directly from your feedback, so thank you for reporting.
Multiline text can be saved when edited inline on small devices, phone fields switch to a compact layout when columns are narrow, the record popup remembers its resized size, and the fullscreen multiline editor has cleaner visuals with a faded background that closes on click.
We also improved the Fn help in formula fields and resolved two issues affecting field type changes, including one where conversion progress got stuck at 0%.
Your media displays the way it should. The gallery got a UI refresh with navigation arrows back in place and thumbnail counts adapting to screen size.
Image orientation is respected in both preview and slideshow, so portrait photos stay upright, and profile images update reliably.
Working with lists is now more predictable. Inline record creation saves correctly when you click away, the page no longer scrolls behind an open dropdown, required select fields validate properly in inline mode, and select dropdowns close properly when you click into another field.
On the layout side, moving left/right in the column menu works correctly, new fields appear in the grid automatically, app reference grids support up to 20 columns (up from 10), related record search now matches select and multi-select fields, and listing metrics accepts tickboxes and multiline titles.
Connecting to the outside world is smoother too. Webforms no longer re-show the Agree button after acceptance, and third-party authentication to Google, Outlook, or Dropbox no longer conflicts when multiple users are signed in on the same device.
External calendar initialisation runs without duplicate or misplaced entries, and SMTP accounts with special-character passwords, can be created successfully.
A few more polish items, marking a discussion as resolved now works with a single click, audit log paging no longer reloads on every keystroke while typing a page number.
Reports render non-standard Unicode characters, such as decorative bold symbols, correctly, and the listToText function fix stops formulas from flipping to true incorrectly.
