New Fields, Smarter Permissions, and More

We’ve been listening closely to your feedback — and today, we're excited to roll out a set of updates built with you in mind. These new features give you better control over your data, simplify team management, and help keep your workflows clean and efficient.

From smarter automations to easier feedback and stronger app security, it’s all about making your day-to-day smoother. Dive in and check out what’s new!

Rating Field: Capture feedback instantly

Say hello to the new Rating Field, designed to help you capture evaluations and scores with a single click. Previously, you might have used a select or number field for this. Now, you can do it visually.

In a nutshell, you can add a rating system directly to your records. It’s perfect for everything from employee performance reviews and supplier quality checks to event feedback. Choose a classic numeric scale or make it visual with icons like stars, hearts, or thumbs up to match your use case.

The scale is flexible, too. You can set a range anywhere from 1–2 to 1–10, giving you the control to align the field perfectly with your existing scoring systems.

Phone Number Field: All your numbers, in one place

Tired of juggling separate fields for work, mobile, and home numbers and storing them in number fields? We’ve streamlined how you handle contact info with the new Phone Number Field.

You can now store multiple phone numbers in a single record, keeping all contact details neatly organized. This is ideal for detailed customer profiles or employee directories where multiple contact methods are common.

But it’s not just about storage, it’s about organization. You can use predefined tags like "Mobile," "Home," or "Work" to categorize each number, or even allow users to create their own custom tags for ultimate flexibility.

Permissions & Admin Access: More control without the clutter

Managing what your team can do just got easier. We’ve introduced a clearer way to delegate admin access—without overcomplicating things.

Instead of adding new roles, you can now assign different admin access levels within an existing role. The three options are simple:

  • None: Users can work in the workspace without making changes.
  • Builder Access: Users can build and modify apps without touching sensitive settings like billing.
  • Full Admin Access: Complete control, including app management, inviting users, and managing the subscription.

This update lives in the Users page. From there, you can quickly set the access level of the Role and all the Users in it.

Workflow & Email Updates: Build smarter automations

We’ve made a couple of key updates to make your automated emails more powerful and intuitive.

You can now add repeating sections in your email body for related records. For example, include detailed line items on an invoice or list all tasks for a project, not just their names. This gives you full control over the content displayed in your automated emails.

Plus, your emails can now include basic rich text-bold, italics, and lists, so your automated communications will look as polished as you’d expect.

Adjustable Row Height: See more at a glance

Tired of truncated text and endless clicking just to see important details? We’ve introduced Adjustable Row Height to give you complete control over your list views.

Here’s how it works: you can now choose between Compact, Comfortable, or Expanded views for your rows. When you select a taller option, long text from comment fields or addresses will wrap automatically, making everything readable at a glance.

This also works for lists. Fields like user assignments, multi-selects, or file attachments will expand to show all their contents, so nothing gets hidden. You see all the data you need, right away.

Field Rules & Validation

We’ve enhanced our Field Rules to give you more flexibility and control. When setting up a Field Rule, you’ll now find a new option called Read-Only Fields. This feature lets you choose specific fields that should become non-editable once certain conditions are met.

For example, in the Projects App, you can create a rule where, once the Project Status is set to “Completed,” the Budget and Deadline fields automatically become read-only. This ensures no one can accidentally modify these critical details after a project is finalized.

Previously, Field Rules only allowed you to show or hide fields (Show Fields & Sections) or make fields required (Required Fields). With this update, you can now fully lock down key information for better data integrity.
